Been coming here for 15years already. Alot of upgrade. Drs. Are very good they have everything here. From primary drs to dental, mental, gynecology, pharmacy. It's like a one stop shop.
All my experiences with the Community Health Center have been good, with the exception of one. So much so, that I've thought I've had better treatment here than at some reputable doctors' offices. Like in every other field, not every employee is great, but my needs have generally been taken care in a way that I have to commend. Sorry for those who have had a bad experience, though.
For been a community health center is MORE than good. Your wait time is about the same at a private Dr.s office, between an 30 min to 1- 1/2 hour.......Just like private practices they double book, so give yourself about a 3 hour window to be safe. * Try to get there early. * I can only speak for my experience as my doctors, PAs, nurses and assistants have been caring. If you DONT like your health care team, ASK for a change.....they will gladly help you. *** - My team is: - *** PCP is Dr. Theresa Vazquez Mental Health: Dr. Courtney Rosenthal Mental Health Therapist: Karla Correa They are all WONDERFUL individuals and they are AGGRESSIVE in their work!!!
They have good days and bad. I've been going here for many years. Some of the employees are ridiculous. You know who you are. I still go here so it's not that bad. I've not had any trouble with a provider here. Just some employees. The love to talk down to you like your trash.
I had a consultation and the Dr forgot to prescribe an scan from my right hip, I request the prescription of the test, that was a mission, the Dr did not want to give me my referral to x ray , She want me to come other day, wich means to pay again, also she did not wrote my request, it was only in the chart we fill before enter to see the Dr. I had to complein to a supervisor, she really help me and 2 nurses that understood the ilogical situation, and were dealing with the Doctor, that did not do her job accordingly. Also, when she attend me I believe on force, instead of cheking the side of my hip, she start performing a pap, and I had to stop her doing so???
Went in without an appointment because I had high fever. There was a line of about 10 people. Considering I went in there without an appointment it took a little bit longer because they had to register me and ask questions. I thought the process was fairly fast. The staff treated me nicely and the PA that took care of me was very good, friendly and informative. The place looks clean and there's an information desk where they can direct you if you are lost.
Not bad for the price. Do not use the office on 137th ave south of the Dodge dealership. Up to 5 hour waits two times and I had to cancel and go to CHI urgent care to get meds.
Great Doctors, Nurses, Workers in general. They help you without discrimination and make sure that you are well. I never had a problem setting up appointments either at the Kendall Clinic or the Doris Ison Health Center. If I win the lotto one day, I will donate half of the gains to the Center.
For been a community health center is good. I can only speak for my experience, my doctos, PA, and assistants have been caring.
